The D&C recently quoted Mayor Warren referencing the “innovative efforts” of the the Evergreen Cooperatives in Cleveland, “where a network of worker-owned cooperatives — leveraged by area foundation and business investments, and tied into growing sectors of the local economy — are being developed in six low-income neighborhoods.” And hinted at the possibility of bringing something similar to Rochester. Sunday, June 24, 11-2 (and beyond?), it’s the return of the Little Flower Sunday Brunch Super Fun Wowee Etc. Time Potluck! This will be our 2nd outdoor potluck of the season. Come hang out in the garden with us while we enjoy some good food and conversation. This is a vegetarian potluck, so please bring a veg-friendly, brunchy dish to pass and/or a beverage if you’d like. We’ll have plenty of lawn chairs and table space available. Jackie B. will be making her famous tofu scramble, the recipe for which was passed down to her by Hamilton’s grandmother (so the rumor goes), and we’ll be making mimosas as well.
