Community is in our name and is a big part of what we’re all about. We have many friendships with organizations in the Rochester area, as well as shops, restaurants and event spaces that we think make Rochester a unique and vibrant place to live.

Village Gate – Artist Galleries and Shops The Village Gate is a vibrant space with artist galleries, restaurants and small independently run shops. They house a comic book shop, massage school and cup cake bakery, as well as the Rochester Brainery, a place to teach and attend one off classes on a smörgåsbord of topics.
The Hungerford – Artist Galleries The Hungerford is a collection of artist galleries. They have excellent First Friday and Second Saturday open gallery events every month.
Flying Squirrel Community Space A space for activists and artists, the Flying Squirrel hosts many events each month.
The Gandhi Institute for Non Violence The Ghandi Institute is a non-profit that helps communities develop the tools for non-violent communication. They host classes and events.
Writers and Books Literary Center Writers and Books is a Literary Center that encourages reading culture and holds writers workshops, among other activites.

Rochester Makerspace The Rochester Makerspace is a bastion of DIY culture. They have a full functioning wood working lab, 3d printer, and Arduino enthusiasts group. Every Thursday is a free open house.

Abundance Market – Food Coop Abundance is a cooperatively owned natural foods market. LFC does a lot of shopping here.
Small World Food Small World Bakery is a cooperativly owned food producer. They started by baking bread and are now making all sorts of goodies, from kimchi to miso, to hot sauce. They only sell retail some days of the week, so make sure to check the website!
Mud Creek Farm Mud Creek Farm is an organic cooperative farm. We have a CSA with mud-creek every year.
